Racers Fall at Home to First Place Rochester Christian

LIMA, OH - UNOH women's basketball struggled to keep up with the top team in the conference Saturday afternoon as Rochester Christian handed the Racers their first home loss since November 19, 70-54.

Over the first six minutes of the game, the teams tied twice and traded the lead three times but Warriors ended the frame with eight straight points to go up 17-11 after one. Rochester Christian pushed the lead up to ten in the second and hovered around that mark into the break up 38-29. They began to pull away in the the third going up by as many as 18 and with UNOH getting no closer than twelve the rest of the way.

Brooke Asher and Alysia Lawson tied for the team lead scoring 13 points each with Asher dishing out six assists and Lawson grabbing six boards. Sanaiiya Gray ended one rebound short of a double-double while Lori Huffman led on the glass with a game high 14 rebounds. 

UNOH will continue to run the gaunlet next week as they make a trip to the other team tied at the top of the WHAC, No. 24 Indiana Tech, on Wednesday, January 21.
