Men's Golf Wraps up Fall Season with Fifth-Place Finish at Bojangles

Vonore, TN - In another loaded field, UNOH concluded the fall portion of the season with a strong fifth place finish at the weather-shortened Bojangles Invitational over the weekend.

The Racers took on The Links at Kahite Golf Club along with five other nationally ranked opponents shooting rounds of 301 and 297 before the final round was called off. Their final 598 (+22) was enough to finish in front of No. 3 Coastal Georgia, No. 4 Blue Mountain and No. 18 Point. 

Oscar Lind was the top finisher for UNOH placing T-15th in the 68 player field. Lind carded an opening round 77 followed by an even-par 72 for a final score of 149 (+5). Jaiden Pass and Jose Luis Vargas tied at 150 (+6) with Pass shooting 77, 73 and Vargas scoring a pair of 75's. Guillermo Garron and Oliver Rogers rounded out the team scoring in a tie with 152. Garron finished 74, 78 while Rogers shot 75 and 77.

After the final tournament of the fall, Garron jumped into the team lead with an average of 72.75 followed by Vargas at 73. Pass earned two individual medals and three top fives in four events while Vargas earned one medal, two top fives and three top tens in five.
