DEV Men's Golf Wins Beaver Fall Classic

BLUFFTON, OH - The Development wing of the UNOH men's golf team competed at the Beaver Fall Classic over the weekend with the UNOH B-Team bringing home the team title by one stroke over WHAC foe Lourdes.

The Racers sat in second place by five strokes after day one shooting 292 as a team. They were able to stay consistent on day two carding a 296 as a team while Lourdes lost ground flipping the two and giving UNOH-B the team title with a 588.

Adrian Martin and Kyle Sutton led UNOH-B with the two tying for fourth-place in the field of 48, both's first top five of the year. Martin opened the tournament with the lowest round of his career shooting a 5-under 67 followed by a 77 in round two. Sutton shot a 74 in the opening round and then hit his lowest career round on day two with a 2-under 70.

The Racers also competed a C-Team in the tournament which was led by Bruno Boado who tied for ninth, along with Jonathan Schlenker of the B-Team, carding a 150 for the event. Boado shot rounds of 73 and 77 while Schlenker finished with a pair of 75's.

Ben Giere and Alfie Baldwin rounded out the B-Team's scoring with a 151 and 155, respectively. Jordan Johnstone, Roman Leszinske and Bernardo Umana finished off the C-Team with scores of 153, 157 and 176.

The varsity UNOH team will hit the links Monday, October 4 at the Music City Collegiate that will feature seven nationally ranked teams and three receving votes.
