LIMA, OH - UNOH men's basketball picked up their second consecutive victory Tuesday night running away from Wright State-Lake 99-70.
After the Lakers scored a quick basket to start the game, UNOH rattled off 13-straight to take control early. The Racers continued their hot streak over the next ten minutes blowing the game open 32-7 at the 9:16 mark of the first half. Wright State-Lake cut the lead back to 18 briefly but that was as close as they would get the rest of the game with UNOH going up by as many as 45 points in the second half before settling at 29 to finish the night.
Fourteen different Racers saw the floor during the game led by Antonio King who scored a game high 27 points and led all players with ten rebounds for his first double-double of the season. King's efficiency resulted in a 12-18 (67%) night adding five assists and a block to his scoreline. Alex Benson finished with 16 points including eleven in the second half hitting 6-10 from the field and grabbing six boards. Grant Pikkaart and Chance Groce each chipped in ten off the bench.
As a team, UNOH snared 57 total rebounds which ties for the program's third most all time and it's most in a game since November 1, 2019 (Emmaus Bible - 57).
The Racers will conclude their non-conference slate on Friday, November 14 with a trip to Mount Vernon Nazarene. UNOH has never won at MVNU and will try to topple the Cougars for the first time since 2010.
