Tatur Earns WHAC Player of the Week Honor

Northwestern Ohio's Margarita Tatur has been voted the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week after going 5-1 last week.

Tatur had strong performances across three different levels of collegiate competition going a perfect 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles.

The Racer freshman began her week with a 6-1 loss with teammate Ekaterina Orlova in No. 3 doubles against NCAA DI Bowling Green State but rebounded with a hard fought victory in her No. 6 singles matchup going 7-6 [11-9](10-9). She then helped her team take a 7-0 win against conference opponent Concordia sweeping both her No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles matchups without giving up a set. Tatur finished the week with two more wins against IU-Pennsylvania taking No. 3 doubles 6-3 with teammate Ekaterina Orlova before battling in No. 6 singles for a 7-6, 7-6 win.
