Ripolles and Ashurbekova Featured on Top of WHAC All-Conference Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the 2024 Women's Tennis All-Conference and post season honors on Tuesday. Northwestern Ohio's Alizee Ripolles was named Player of the Year, the program's first since 2019, and Munisa Ashurbekova picked up the Newcomer of the Year award becoming just the second Racer to win that honor and first since 2017.

 

Along with Player of the Year, Ripolles added her second First Team All-WHAC award for both singles and doubles. Freshman Ashurbekova also landed first team honors for singles and second team doubles to go with her Newcomer of the Year award.

Jelena Lopicic and Agathe Vaillant were both named First Team All-WHAC for singles, the second for Lopicic and first for Vaillant with Neo Mafuyeka landing first team doubles for the second time in her career. Ana Cetina rounded out the all-conference awards for UNOH bagging second team honors for both singles and doubles.

Lima Senior product, Abigail Beck, was named to the Champions of Character Team while also earning WHAC All-Academic honors. She was joined on the academic team by Mafuyeka, her second, and Vaillant, her first.

Head coach Jeff Brown was voted Coach of the Year for the first time on the women's side while also being named the WHAC Champions of Character coach.
