Ripolles Earns First WHAC Player of the Week Award
After being named First Team All-WHAC in singles and doubles last season, Alizee Ripolles opened the 2023-24 campaign where she left off. Ripolles picked up her first career WHAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week Award after winning the singles tournament at the ITA Midwest Regional Championship.
Ripolles became the first Racer to win the women's singles tournament at the ITA Midwest Regional since 2016 (Amanda Schneider) after going a perfect 6-0 without dropping a set. Ripolles took down the No. 4 seed in the final 6-4, 6-3 to qualify for the ITA Cup that will begin October 12 in Rome, Georgia. Ripolles saw her doubles run with Munisa Ashurbekova fall short thanks to teammates Jelena Lopicic and Agathe Vaillant who eliminated the pair in the quarterfinal 8-6.
