Women's Soccer Heads West to Idaho for NAIA Tournament

KANSAS CITY, MO - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the teams and matchups for the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship. The 40-team field will open with the NAIA National Championship First & Second Rounds at 16 locations around the country November 21-23. This year's field includes 26 automatic bids and 14 at-large selections.

UNOH qualified with an automatic bid after winning the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Regular Season Championship finishing 10-1 in conference play and 17-3 overall. The Racers also swept through the WHAC Tournament to double up their conference titles for the first time since 2019 and fifth time ever.

They will head out west to the Caldwell Bracket hosted by The College of Idaho where they will square off with The Master's Mustangs in the first round on Thursday, November 20 at 4:00 PM EST. The winner of that matchup will advance to take on the Yotes of COI on Saturday for a 2:00 PM EST kickoff.

#6 College of Idaho Yotes (17-2-0)

The Yotes doubled up the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) for a third consecutive season winning the regular season and tournament titles to earn an automatic bid to the NAIA tournament. They ended the conference season 11-1 with their only blemish coming to (RV) Southern Oregon, 3-2, on October 17. COI was scoreless against (RV) Eastern Oregon after 108 minutes but found a twilight dagger to swipe the CCC Tournament Championship 1-0 over the Mountaineers.

 #23 University of Northwestern Ohio Racers

UNOH won the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Regular Season Championship with a 10-1 record to earn an automatic bid to the tournament and the top seed in the conference tournament. Their only loss in conference play came on September 27 to (RV) Aquinas, 2-1. The Racers added a tournament title to their resume defeating Rochester Christian 5-0 and Siena Heights 3-1 before finishing the double with a 1-0 win over (RV) Aquinas in the WHAC Championship.

The WHAC is sending two teams to the NAIA National Championship First & Second Rounds (UNOH, Aquinas).

The Master's University Mustangs (14-4-2)

The Mustangs won their automatic bid in dramatic fashion Wednesday upsetting No. 7 Embry-Riddle in the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) championship match on November 12. After 110 minutes without a goal, the match had to be decided on penalty kicks where The Master's edged past the Eagles 5-4 for their first ever conference tournament championship.
