Karlsson Bags WHAC Offensive POTW Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced Monday that Northwestern Ohio's Mathilda Berg Karlsson has been voted the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after her record setting performance against Indiana Tech.
Karlsson put together the single best offensive outing in the history of UNOH soccer, including the men's program, scoring or assisting on eight goals in her team's 9-2 victory over Indiana Tech on Wednesday. She became just the fifth player in program history to net four times in a single match adding four assists for a total of twelve points in the game. Her twelve points topped the program's previous single-game record that had stood since it's inaugural season in 2013 (Frida Bremer/Taryn Pardoe - 11).
Karlsson's big day helped her finish the regular season as the WHAC's leader in goals (13), assists (11) and total points (37) to earn the first Player of the Week award of her career.
