Eisner Picks Up Defensive Player of the Week Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced Monday that Northwestern Ohio's Sophia Eisner has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after two shutouts last week.
The junior goalkeeper from Germany wasn't needed often but stood tall when she was helping UNOH earn their second and third clean sheets of the season, all with Eisner in front of goal.
On Wednesday, the Racers knocked off previously unbeaten Mount Vernon Nazarene 1-0 and followed up with their most complete performance of the year on Saturday blanking No. 18 Campbellsville 2-0. Eisner made two saves to keep the Tiger offense that was averaging more than two goals a game off the board picking up her WHAC leading fourth win of the campaign
