Frauenpreiss Snags First Player of the Week Award

On Monday, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the selection of Northwestern Ohio's Janne Esther Frauenpreiss as the women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 27.

The fifth-year senior center back anchored a backline that allowed just three shots on goal and only five total shots over two matches going 2-0 with two more clean sheets last week. Frauenpreiss is averaging 84 minutes per game this season and has led her defense to eleven shutouts, including five straight, while surrending just three goals over eleven conference games and just one (to No. 4 Aquinas) since September 14. She also added her fourth career assist in a 3-0 win over Lawrence Tech on Saturday.

It is the first career player of the week selection for Frauenpreiss.
