Wilson Named WHAC Offensive Player of the Week
Northwestern Ohio's Ashley Wilson has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 1.
Wilson helped the Racers produce their biggest offensive output of the season, with the team scoring eight goals in two matches, to go a perfect 2-0 for the week. Wilson scored the Racer's second goal, and eventual game winner, against Lourdes before netting the team's final goal of the match in a 4-2 effort. She played a hand in the final two goals of a 4-0 shutout of UM-Dearborn on Saturday, scoring the third and assisting on the fourth. Wilson took over as the team's leading goal scorer with four this season.
It is the first career Player of the Week award for Wilson and the program's first offensive award since 2021 (Ariana Mondiri).
