Women's Golf Places Third in First Spring Tournament

SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY - UNOH women's golf began the spring half of their season on Friday and Saturday earning a third-place finish at the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate.

The Racers were in second place after two rounds the first day scoring 330 and 319, but conference foe Lawrence Tech jumped them on day two after a final round of 324 finishing with a tournament total of 973.

Kudzai Mandava and Molly Douglas led the way for UNOH with both picking up their fifth top ten finish in five events this season. Mandava highlighted the tournament with the lowest round by any Racer in the 2025-26 campaign shooting even-par 72 in round two. She carded rounds of 83 and 80 in the other two for a tournament score of 235. Douglas was consistent through all three rounds of competition shooting 79, 80 and 78 to finish two strokes back from Mandava in tenth.

Luise Pekoll also put together a strong performance ending 13th of 49 players with a 243 after scoring 82, 79 and 82. Kayla Watkins and Riley Daeger rounded out the team scoring with a 258 and 278, respectively.

UNOH will be off for two weeks before coming home for the TU-WU Spring Christmas Classic April 10 that will be played at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Lima.
