Binyahya Tops Field, Racers Finish Fourth at UNOH Invite
LIMA, OH - UNOH women's golf began the fall portion of the new season at home for the first time since 2018 and finished fourth in the field of six teams at the UNOH Fall Invitational. Pikeville ran away from the field shooting 891 as a team to finish at +24, finishing 35 strokes ahead of second place Midway.
Sharifah Binyahya highlighted the weekend for UNOH taking the top spot and finishing as the only golfer under par. Binyahya matched the program record with a tournament low 68 (-4) in round one carding a 75 and 72 in rounds two and three. Bellefontaine product Kayla Watkins earned a top 15 finish shooting 87, 80, 84 to tie for 14th with a 251. Wayne Trace product Riley Daeger went 93, 100, 98 (291), Grace Weikle shot 108, 109, 107 (324) and another Wayne Trace product Kenadie Daeger recorded rounds of 92 and 87 before having to withdraw.
The Legacy Golf Club in Ottawa, Michigan will be the next destination for UNOH when they play in the one-day Loudes Invitational on Septebmer 18.
