Freshman Chikwaya Earns First Golfer of the Week Award

Northwestern Ohio women's golf picked up its third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week award by its third different player this season when Primross Chikwaya was announced as the winner on Monday.

Chikwaya's week was highlighted by a Third-Place finish at the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate on March 22-23 where she set a new 54-hole career mark with a 227 (+11). She shot below her season average in all three rounds opening with a career best 74 (+2) followed by rounds of 76 and 77.

It was Chikwaya's second top-five performance and fifth top-ten in eight events this season.

She also competed in the Blue Raider Spring Invitational to begin last week finishing T17th shooting 78, 76 and 83.
