Huffman Claims Final Defensive POTW Honor

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) named UNOH's Lori Huffman the Defensive Player of the Week in the final weekly awards of the season on Monday.

Huffman was a force in the paint last week hauling in a whopping 32 total rebounds in wins over Lourdes and UM-Dearborn while also logging her fourth double-double with twelve points against the Wolverines. The Racers ended the regular season with wins in five of their last six games during which Huffman averaged 12.3 rebounds per game.

The Cuyahoga Falls native enters the post season as the leading freshman rebounder in the country averaging 11.7 per game this season and needing just 13 boards to tie the program's single season record.

The award is Huffman's second of the season and joins her with teammate Sanaiiya Gray as the program's most ever by a freshman.
