Thompson Named Offensive Player of the Week
For the first time in her career, UNOH junior Olivia Thompson has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Offensive Player of the Week after helping her team clinch a place in the post season for the third time in four years.
Thompson's big week began with a career night against Madonna where she finished just two rebounds and two assists short of a triple-double. Her 18 points were a team high and her eight assists marked a new career best as the Racers completed the season double over the Crusaders, 74-60. She followed up that performance with a career high 23 points against Defiance where she logged another career high hitting ten of eleven free throw attempts.
For the week, Thompson shot 55% from the field and 42% from outside while hitting 92% from the charity stripe. She racked up 13 total rebounds and 13 assists earning two steals and a block over the two games.
