Conde's Fourth Player of the Year Award Highlights 2024 WHAC Honors

The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the Men's Tennis All-Conference and post season honors on Tuesday with UNOH dominating the awards.

 

For the fourth straight season, Northwestern Ohio's Sergio Conde has been named the WHAC Player of the Year becoming the second four-peat Racer in program history. Conde also earned his fourth first team award for singles and second first team doubles. 

Malik Omarkhanov earned First Team All-WHAC for both singles and doubles, his third for both, and will graduate as the winningest player in UNOH history going 97-22 in career singles. Martin Stanchev and Lucas Perez rounded out the first team honors with each landing singles and doubles awards. It is the third first team singles and first doubles for Stanchev with Perez picking up his first for both. Nils Messin also earned his first all-conference honors of any kind being named Second Team All-WHAC for singles.

Kwanda Mblekwa was the UNOH representative on the Champions of Character Team with Stanchev and Perez both earning WHAC All-Academic Team honors.

Head coach Jeff Brown was named WHAC Coach of the Year for the fourth consecutive season while also being named Champions of Character Coach.
