Men's Soccer Nets Seven to Stay Unbeaten in September

LIMA, OH - UNOH men's soccer had no trouble Wednesday afternoon against Cleary dismantling the Cougar defense for seven goals and running their unbeaten streak up to six games, the program's longest since 2022.
The scoring started with a converted penalty kick in the 23rd minute. Raul Oliu bagged his third of the season after sending the keeper the wrong way. The reigning NAIA Offensive Player of the Week, Eguzki Hashimoto found the net again for the team's second of the day in the 25th minute. Hashimoto has now scored six goals in his last three matches and currently leads the team in scoring with twelve points. Jayson Janofski finished off the first half scoring with his first career goal putting UNOH up 3-0 in the 34th minute.
The Racers got the offense going again in the first ten minutes of the second half thanks to the fifth goal of the year by Michel Tentchou. UNOH notched another in the 64th minute off the foot of Aimar Lezana and opened a stretch where they scored three goals in less than six minutes to finish off the game. The final two were both first time goal scorers with Adrian Ofner and Alfie Roffey both finding the back of the net to give the Racers a 7-0 win.
Oliu added two assists on top of his goal giving him the team lead with five this season. Tentchou and Ryan Hennessy both earned their first career assists in the game.
Ross Synnott (2-0-0) was only need twice over his 90 minutes but made saves both times for his second clean sheet in as many appearances.
UNOH has now scored 16 goals in their first two conference games and will look to keep the offense rolling when they host Aquinas on Saturday, September 27 at 4:00 PM.
