Motorsports Team Secures Second Consecutive Quick Time

The UNOH Motorsports Team gained valuable experience Friday night during Modified Mayhem/Mike Streicher Memorial Night at Limaland Motorsports Park. Teams were treated to an action filled evening which saw many recent Motorsports Team graduates return in anticipation of this Sunday's graduation ceremonies, including 2025 Otterly Baths UMP Modified track champion Aidan Hinds.
In UMP Modified competition, student driver Eric Kinney II and the crew of the #1 UNOH car would gather their second consecutive quick time award with a 14.954. It would be Dylan Drake and the #11 crew stealing the show in the heat races, however, holding off veteran Todd Sherman and up and comer Dustin Moore for the victory. Kinney's second place finish in his heat would place both UNOH Racers on the second row for the night's feature event. Incidental contact between the two UNOH machines would lead to early retirement for both, with Drake being scored 17th and Kinney coming home 19th.
The Lock 16 Thunderstock A Main would see UNOH Racer CJ Permann lead the field to green by virtue of a 2nd place finish in his heat. A backstretch spin would end Permann's night early, relegating the #01 crew to a 13th place finish. The #00 crew, led by driver Trace Settles and crew chief Aaron Jesina, would hang on for a 6th place finish. Last week's A Main winner Aidan Hervey in the UNOH #1 would pass four cars to follow closely in Settles' tire tracks with a 7th place result.
UNOH Motorsports will return to Limaland Motorsports Park Friday, June 19th for The 91st Anniversary race. The evening will be action packed with the return of the Great Lakes Traditional Sprint Cars, the Otterly Baths UMP Modifieds, and the Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks.
