Strong Showing for Men's Golf at NAIA Preview
SILVIS, IL - UNOH men's golf placed third at the NAIA National Preview September 23-24 putting together a strong performance in a field of 119 players from 24 different teams. UNOH shot 300 in round one and 290 in round two for a tournament total of 590 (+22), eight strokes off top team Mount Mercy.
Oscar Lind led the team with his second top five finish in three events after carding a 73 and 71 for a total of 144 (+2). Jose Vargas finished in a tie for 13th with rounds of 75 and 73 for a 148 (+6). Luke Turner went shot a 150 (+8) followed by Oliver Rogers with a 151 (+9) and Guillermo Garron with a 157 (+12).
The only conference event of the fall is next up for the Racers with the WHAC Fall Preview played September 30-October 1 at Stoatin Brae Golf Club in August, Michigan.
