Cesar Grau Named NAIA All-American

KANSAS CITY, MO - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the list of 2026 NAIA Baseball All-Americans naming Northwestern Ohio's Cesar Grau to the second team. It's a historic mention for UNOH and the junior catcher who becomes the program's first ever non-pitcher to earn a spot on the All-America list and the first at any position since 2018 (Jacob Hulcher).

Grau transferred into UNOH from North Central Missouri College and made an immediate impact on both sides of the ball. In his first season, the Venezuala native led the team in eight different statistical categories that included new single season program records for doubles and RBI. His 24 doubles were the third most in the entire NAIA while his 74 runs batted in put him 17th in the country. Grau drove in multiple runs a record setting 23 times this year with 128 total bases and 380 putouts on the defensive side, both top five all-time for a single season. He hit .404 and reached base at a rate of .504 over the course of the season, both top ten all-time, while slugging an incredible .681 marking the program's second highest ever.

The All-America honor adds to an already long list of accolades for Grau in just one season at UNOH after also named WHAC Newcomer of the Year and All-WHAC First Team earlier this spring along with a pair of WHAC Player of the Week awards.
