Baseball Faces Cornerstone to Open WHAC Tournament

With the final field set, UNOH baseball now knows who their first-round opponent will be when the 2026 WHAC Tournament begins on Wednesday, April 29.

The three-time Regular Season Champions will square off against eight-seed Cornerstone in the first game of the tournament played at Meijer Sports Complex (Aquinas College) in Rockford, Michigan. The Racers pummeled the Golden Eagles twice in the regular season by a combined score of 57-16. UNOH enter the post season as winners in their last six games while conversely Cornerstone was on the losing end in twelve of their final 14 contests.

The other half of the UNOH side of the bracket will see four-seed Cleary and five-seed Aquinas clash for the fifth time in six days after the Cougars took three of four games against the Saints in the final series of the regular season. The losers of the first two games will face each other at 10:00 AM on day two, April 30, with the winners to follow at 2:00 PM.

The other side of the bracket consists of match ups between two-seed Indiana Tech and seven-seed Lawrence Tech followed by three-seed Madonna and six-seed Siena Heights. The winners and losers of both those games will also face each other on day two setting up three games on day three that will determine the championship marque.

The double-elimination tournament concludes with the championship game, or games if necessary, on Saturday, May 2, at Meijer Sports Complex.
