Baseball Sweeps Weekly Conference Honors

For the second time this season, UNOH baseball has swept the weekly conference awards earning both the WHAC Player and Pitcher of the Week after going 5-1.

Daniel Healy picked up his first Pitcher of the Week award after his first complete game of the season resulted in a brilliant 1-0 win at Lawrence Tech. The sophomore slinger improved to 3-1 this year after allowing just two base runners over his seven innings without giving up a walk. His seven strikeouts matched his season high with the shutout pulling his season ERA down to a team best 3.45

Zach Grigalis also claimed his first career weekly honor after a powerful dish display and a flawless fielding performance. Offensively, he tallied at least two hits in five of the six games going 14-20 (.700) with just two strikeouts in 25 plate appearances. His three home runs gave him the team lead this season adding three doubles and a stolen base. Grigalis added three doubles to his line for a total of 26 total bases and eight RBI putting up an incredible 1.300 slugging percentage. The first baseman was also perfect defensively logging 31 putouts and two assists on 33 chances with three double plays.
