Elida Product Davis Named WHAC Pitcher of the Week

For the third straight week, a UNOH pitcher has earned the honor of WHAC Pitcher of the Week with the latest going to junior Jordan Davis on Monday.

Davis was a local standout for Elida High School and transferred to UNOH from Catawba Valley CC last season. In his sixth appearance of the season, Davis entered in the seventh inning of game two against Georgetown on Saturday with his team trailing 8-6 and runners on the corners. He proceeded to retire all 16 batters he faced in order, striking out seven, as UNOH rallied to win 11-8 in twelve innings. His five and a third innings on the bump were most of his career resulting in his first win with UNOH to go along with his first career save earned one week prior.

It is the first career weekly honor for Davis.
