Pichi completed a Heralded High School career by winning the Florida 6A State Championship at Flanagan HS, earning his team - USA Today National Championship honors. Pichi was the winning pitcher in the state semi-final game, personally finishing the season with an impressive 12-1 record. Pichi was selected as the Florida 6A high school "Pitcher of the Year" and was selected as a High School All-American by the USA Today. "Pichi is one of the most decorative players in the 2010 class and we expect him to have a great offensive year for us. With an infectious personality and a unparalleled work ethic, Pichi has the ability to do great things while playing at UNOH."

Pichi is the son to Willy and Carmen Torres who reside in Miami, Florida
