NAIA Announces List of Fall Scholar Athletes
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the 2025 Fall Sport Daktronics Scholar-Athletes naming 29 Racers to the list.
To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year.
Men's soccer led the fall sports with an incredible 14 players meeting the standards to make the list. The program had just five total mentions in it's previous 13 years of existence and also picked up it's first player to ever earn the honor multiple times. Women's soccer boasted an impressive ten players on the list giving them nine or more in each of the last four seasons. One player also picked up her fourth Scholar Athlete honor of her career becoming the first ever in the the history of the program to hit the mark four times. Two others earned their second with seven making it for the first time. Volleyball put five on the the list highlighted by one earning her third honor and becoming the first ever in the program to accomplish that feat. Two others were mentioned for the second time with two more earning it for the first time.
