After finishing the 2008 inaugural season with a loss in the first round of the AMC tournament, the Racers Volleyball team earned several conference honors. Five Racers earned post-season awards governed by the American Mideast Conference. Earning Second Team honors were Freshman Amanda Francis and Freshman Kelly Oldiges, the only Freshmen to make AMC Second Team or higher. Earning Third Team honors were Freshman Debbie Brubaker and Freshman Meagan Enyart. Earning Honorable Mention was Sophomore Roshelle Watercutter. The American Mideast Conference also selects an All-Freshman team. UNOH had 4 members of the Freshman team in Amanda Francis, Kelly Oldiges, Debbie Brubaker, and Meagan Enyart. The AMC selected Walsh University Senior Megan McDonald as the AMC Player of the Year for 2008. The Coach of the Year was Krista Singleton from Walsh University. The Setter of the Year was Notre Dame College Junior Katie Verhoff. The Libero of the Year was Cedarville University Senior Libby Aker. |
