Bethany Brewer comes to UNOH from Northwood H.S.

Feb. 3, 2010

Bethany Brewer signed an NAIA National Letter of Intent on January 22, 2010 to continue her athletic and academic careers at the University of Northwestern Ohio in the Fall of 2010.

Bethany is a 5'4" senior from Northwood High School in Nappanee, IN. Brewer is a defensive specialist and represented Indiana in the Hawaii Classic this past summer. She played for Coach Hillary Rebber at Northwood and has also been a member of Shank You Juniors VBC. She is also an avid sand player and competes in tournaments throughout the Summer.

Bethany is the daughter of Timothy and Renae Brewer and plans to major in Digital Multimedia Design and Business Administration while attending UNOH.

Coach Kitchen stated about Bethany, "Bethany works extremely hard when she is on the court. She has the perfect mentality to play in the back row. She fears nothing, and throws her body around without regard for her safety. To be a successful libero, you have to be a little bit kamikaze, which is the perfect word to describe Bethany as a volleyball player. I look forward to her continuing the tradition of relentless defensive players in the Racer volleyball program."
