Final Stats

The UNOH Volleyball team qualified for the AMC tournament for the 2nd season in a row for the 2009 season. The Racers couldn't gain their first postseason victory ever on Friday afternoon as they fell to Point Park 3-2 in the opening round of the AMC's.

The Racers looked like they were on their way as they won the first and third sets at 25-23, and only needed to win one of the final two. Point Park gathered the momentum and ended any Racers hopes of advancing on in the AMC Tournament.

Leading the way for the Racers was Junior Roshelle Watercutter as she totaled 25 kills on the match. Watercutter also totaled 27 digs in the match as well. Another Racer record was broken on Friday afternoon as Sophomore Kelly Oldiges broke her previous record for digs in a match as she totaled 42 digs. Her previous record was set at 41.

Sophomore Meagan Enyart totaled 18 kills on the match and Junior Katie Luebke totaled 11 kills as well. Sophomore Debbie Brubaker set up the attacking with 40 assists on the match. Sophomore Chelsea Crow totaled her career best with 29 digs in the opening round of the AMC Tournament. Meagan Enyart also totaled 10 blocks on the match.

The Racers finish their second season at 27-14 and 8-4 in the AMC. In two seasons, Head Coach Kevin Kitchen has led the Racers to a combined record of 53-25. The Racers will be back in action in 2010 for their third season, but will then be a member of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
