The Racers traveled to North Canton, OH on Saturday to play in an AMC Tri-Match to end the regular season. The Racers needed to come away with at least one victory to secure their entry into the American Mideast Conference. The Racers downed Carlow in three, and played with nothing to lose against, AMC undefeated, Walsh, but fell short 3-1.

The Racers started off fast against Carlow and won the match 3-0. The Racers won with scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-16. With the win against Carlow, and a Point Park loss, the Racers clinched a bid to the AMC tournament.

Leading the way for the Racers in the match was Amanda Francis and Roshelle Watercutter, who each totaled 9 kills. Kaylee Kepford had 8 kills, while Meagan Enyart had 7 of her own. Debbie Brubaker set up the kills with 32 assists. Brubaker also had 2 aces in the match. Amanda Francis led the team in digs with 13, Kelly Oldiges and Roshelle Watercutter each had 10. The Racers were huge at the net in blocking as Brooke Vandemark had 1 solo and 3 assisted blocks, while Meagan Enyart had 5 assisted blocks, and Kaylee Kepford and Roshelle Watercutter each had 4 assisted blocks.

Against Walsh, the Racers put forth a valiant effort but lost in 4 sets, 3-1. The Racers lost with scores of 26-24, 19-25, 29-27, 25-22. Walsh entered the match ranked #25 in the country, and undefeated in AMC play.

The Racers were led by Amanda Francis and her 18 kills. Roshelle Watercutter had 15 kills and Meagan Enyart had 12 kills as well. Debbie Brubaker set up the kills with 47 assists. Kelly Oldiges led the team in digs with 27. Roshelle Watercutter had 21 and Amanda Francis had 18.

With the split, the Racers finished 26-10 on the regular season, and a solid 9-5 in the American Mideast Conference. The Racers, in their first season, qualify for the six team tournament that will take place on Nov. 14th and 15th. The matchups for the tournament have yet to be finalized with a week left in the regular season.
