The UNOH Racers traveled to Columbus, OH on Tuesday evening to face off against Ohio Dominican in a crucial American Mideast Conference match. The Racers battled early, but fell short of the Panthers 3-0.

The Panthers and Racers traded points early in the first set, but the host was able to come away with the opening game win thanks to a solid performance at the net. ODU took a slight advantage and ended the Racers threat with a 25-23 win giving the home team the momentum they needed. The Panthers continued their effort in games two and three as they downed the Racers by the score of 25-18 and 25-19.

The Racers were led by Amanda Francis and Roshelle Watercutter as they each totaled 11 kills. Debbie Brubaker had 19 assists and Chelsea Hostetter had 18 assists as well. The Racers were without Libero Kelly Oldiges on Tuesday, the Racers picked up the digging effort in her absence. Amanda Francis led the team with 19 digs, Roshelle Watercutter had 13, and Chelsea Crow had her season high of 10 digs.

With the loss, the Racers drop to 25-9 on the season, and 8-4 in the AMC. The Racers are currently sixth in the conference, with 2 matches left. The Racers will finish up their regular season on Saturday, November 1st with a tri-match at Walsh. The Racers will face Carlow at 1:00 PM, and then face AMC undefeated Walsh at 3:00 PM.
