The UNOH Racers took the court for the final match of the AMC Tri-Match on Saturday afternoon, and their final regular season home matches. The Racers faced Malone in game 3 of the day, and came out on top with a 4 set victory, 3-1. The Racers once again quickly jumped out to a set 1 lead, and ran away with set 1 with a final of 25-13. In set 2, the Pioneers made it a battle and the Racers still came away 25-23. The third set saw Malone overtake the Racers and win 25-23. In set 4, it was all Racers as they won 25-18. Leading the attack for the Racers was Roshelle Watercutter who had 12 kills. Meagan Enyart and Amanda Francis each had 11 kills. Debbie Brubaker had 38 assists on the afternoon. Kelly Oldiges had 4 aces, Amanda Francis had 3, and Chelsea Crow had 2 aces. Amanda Francis led the team in digs with 15, while Roshelle Watercutter had 11. Meagan Enyart had 5 blocks and Brooke Vandemark had 3. With the two wins on the afternoon in the AMC, the Racers climb the rankings and grab a stronger hold onto making the playoffs. The Racers currently stand at 8-3 in the AMC. With three matches to play, the Racers, with some help, could still potentially host the AMC tournament. The Racers will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Ohio Dominican in Columbus, the match is set to start at 7:00 pm. |
