Final Stats

The UNOH Racers played host to Lake Erie College on Thursday evening. The Racers looked to get back to their winning ways after losing their last home match. The Racers quickly brought the rain, thunder, and lightning to the Storm as they downed Lake Erie 3-1.

The Racers won the first two sets in quick fashion as they won each set 25-15. In the third, the Racers stumbled a little bit and fell 25-22. After regrouping, the Racers pulled away in the 4th and won 25-14.

Leading the attack for the Racers was Sophomore Meagan Enyart as she totaled 17 kills on the match. Junior's Maria Brubaker and Roshelle Watercutter each had 12 kills. The sister tandem of Maria and Sophomore Debbie Brubaker had a combined attack of 19 kills on 26 attempts with no errors.

Debbie Brubaker had 43 assists on the match. Roshelle Watercutter had 2 aces, while Sophomore's Chelsea Crow, Kelly Oldiges, and Jessica Prince each had 1. Kelly Oldiges led the digging with 22. Chelsea Crow, Debbie Brubaker, and Jessica Prince all had 14 digs on the match.

With the win, the Racers move to 20-10 on the season and are currently 5-2 in the AMC. The Racers will be back in action this weekend as they will play in the Calumet-St. Joseph Invitational. The Racers will begin play on Friday afternoon with William Penn at 4:00 pm, and then Calumet at 6:00 pm. On Saturday, the Racers will face Grace at 11:00 am, then a TBA match following to finish off the weekend.
