The UNOH Racer Volleyball team played their home opener on Tuesday night, as they hosted AMC opponent Notre Dame College. The Racers got out early and dominated the Falcons, 3-0. The set scores were 25-22, 25-15, an 25-17. The Racers fought back from an early deficit in the first set and then quickly steamrolled the Falcons in sets two and three. Leading the way for the Racers was Junior Katie Luebke with 13 kills. Sophomore Meagan Enyart was right behind in the attack with 11 kills of her own. Junior Roshelle Watercutter totaled 7 on the match. Sophomore Debbie Brubaker recorded 34 assists on the match for the Racers. Sophomore Kelly Oldiges had 18 digs on the match and also 1 ace. Debbie Brubaker reached double figure digs with 10. Roshelle Watercutter had 8 digs on the match to go along with 2 aces. Meagan Enyart had 5 blocks and Katie Luebke had 3 on the night. With the win, the Racers move to 17-9 on the season, and 3-1 in the AMC. The Racers will be back in action this Friday night as the Racers host Roberts Wesleyan in another AMC showdown. The match will start at 7:00 pm on the campus of UNOH. |
