Coach Kevin Kitchen enters his first season as the head coach of the University of Northwestern Ohio volleyball program. 2008 marks the inaugural season for the Lady Racers.

Kitchen previously spent seven seasons coaching high school volleyball at New Knoxville, Piqua, and most recently at his alma mater, Lima Central Catholic. The Lady T-Birds were the 2007 OHSAA Division III State Champions. Prior to that, Kitchen led Piqua to three consecutive District final appearances, and was named the District 9 coach of the year three times.

Kitchen is also a co-director and coach for Team Atlantis Volleyball Club. Most recently, his 15 Elite team finished in 3rd place at the 2008 USA Junior Volleyball Championships - National Division.

Kitchen graduated from Walsh University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He comes to UNOH after a teaching career in the Piqua City School system. Kitchen is single and resides in Elida.
