With the 2009-10 academic school year a couple weeks away for UNOH athletes, the Racers will be in heavy action starting Friday, August 28th. Beginning on Friday, every Fall Racer team will be in action by Wednesday, September 2nd. For all Fall schedules and news, please visit www.unohracers.com for all your Racer info.

Teeing off on Friday, the Women's Golf team will host the Racer Invitational at Hawthorne Hills C.C. The Lady Racers will have a shotgun start at 11:00 AM on Friday, and then will finish up the two day event on Saturday morning, with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. The Lady Racers will look to improve on their 2008-09 campaign as they finished 4th at the AMC Championships.

Also in action on Friday afternoon, the Racers volleyball team will serve up their second season as they will take on Trinity International at 3:15 PM at the UM-Dearborn Earlybird Invitational in Dearborn, MI. The Racers will play two on Friday as they square off against Viterbo (WI) at 7:45 PM. On Saturday, the Racers will play two matches again as they will face Taylor at 10:45 AM and Madonna at 3:15 PM to finish play for the weekend. The Racers will look to regain their form from their 26-11 inaugural season.

On Saturday morning, the Men's Tennis team will play host to Grace at 10:00 AM for the first ever tennis matches held on the campus of UNOH. The newly constructed tennis courts, which are located on the western side of campus, will now play host to all weather permitting Racer tennis matches. The Racers finished 14-7 in their second season, and ended in 3rd place overall in the AMC.

On Monday morning, the Men's Golf team will tee off for the first time in the fall. They will take part in the two day event, St. Francis Fall Invitational. The Racers will tee off at 9:00 AM on both Monday and Tuesday mornings. The Racers will look to build on their 6th place finish at the AMC Championships in 2008-09.

Rounding out the Fall openers is the Women's Tennis team on September 2nd. The Lady Racers will play host to Taylor on Wednesday evening. Both the women and the men will play at 4:00 PM, also at the UNOH tennis courts. The Lady Racers finished 8-12 for the 2008-09 season, but finished 3rd overall in the AMC.

The UNOH Racers Athletic Programs will begin their 3rd year of existence. The Racers have reached early success in the short 2 years of competition within the AMC as all teams have qualified for postseason play in the conference. The Racers will look to continue that success during the 2009-10 seasons, and look forward to the support of the campus of UNOH, and the community of Lima.
