The UNOH Lady Racer Tennis Team traveled to Otterbein College on Sunday afternoon looking to end their Fall season with a win. The Lady Racers could only manage two singles victories to fall in the match 7-2. In singles play, Junior Jamie Hilborn won her match at the #1 in quick fashion with scores of 6-2, 6-1. Sophomore Tara Carr, playing at the #4, won her match with the same scores of 6-2, 6-1. On Saturday, the Lady Racers downed Ohio Northern by a final of 6-3. It marked their first victory of Ohio Northern in women's tennis. In doubles, the Lady Racers earned two victories. At the #2, Tara Carr and Freshman Katie Whittington won 8-5. At the #3, Senior Ashley Carmack and Freshman Jessie Stambaugh won 8-4. In singles play, Jamie Hilborn won at the #1 with scores of 6-4, 6-1. At the #3, Tara Carr won in three sets, 2-6, 7-5, and 6-3. At the #5, Katie Whittington won 6-2, 3-6, and 6-4. Ath the #6, Junior Erynn Piper won 6-3 and 7-5. |
