The Women's UNOH tennis team traveled to Hilton Head Island over the past week to compete against teams from all across the country. The Lady Racers competed in 4 matches, but were unable to return to Lima, OH with a victory. The Lady Racers fell to Colby College 9-0, Sioux Falls 8-1, Principia 6-3, and Erskine 9-0 over the course of the week. After the trip, the Lady Racers record now stands at 1-11. For the week, leading the way in singles play were Ashley Carmack and Carling Barrett, who both finished 1-3. Sara Prinzi, Beth Gwin, and Rachael Cox all finished 0-3. Atlanta Joseph finished 0-2. Rounding out the last single match was Jamie Hilborn who finished 0-1. Hilborn had to sit out the first three matches due to injury. In doubles play, the tandems of Erynn Piper - Carling Barrett and Ashley Carmack - Sara Prinzi each finished 1-3. Beth Gwin - Atlanta Joseph doubles team finished 0-2. Going 0-1 for the week was the tandems of Jamie Hilborn - Atlanta Joseph and Beth Gwin - Rachael Cox. The Lady Racers will be back in action on Saturday, April 5th when they play Malone College in Lexington, Ohio. The match will begin at 1:00 PM. |
