The Lady Racers golf team competed in their first event on Friday afternoon. They hosted the first ever UNOH Racer Fall Invitational at Hawthorne Hills G.C. With perfect weather conditions, the Lady Racers fired a team total of 342 to sit in 3rd place out of 6 teams. Leading the way for UNOH was Sophomore Christy Brinkman who fired an 80. Senior Erin Winings and Sophomore Melissa Finch each scored 87's. Senior Vanessa Herbert shot an 88, while Junior Hollie Johnston closed with an 89. Competing as individuals was Junior Rachael Cox who shot a 111. Freshman Jessica May finished with a 122. Junior Brittany Neeley recorded a 134. Kim Smith of Walsh set a school record with a round of even par 72. She is the clubhouse leader after Day 1 of the event. Day 2 will tee off with a shotgun start at 9:00 am.
