The UNOH Lady Racer golf team traveled to Ohio Dominican's Auld Craftors Kisor Classic for the 2nd year. The Racers improved from last season's performance to finish in 4th place with a team total of 720. On Day 1 of the event, the conditions slowed the Racers down a little bit as Melissa Finch led the team in the opening round with an 86. Erin Winings day 1 round finished at 90. Vanessa Herbert was right behind Winings with a 91. Christy Brinkman finished the top 4 scoring with a 95. Brittany Neeley playing at the #5 finished with a 134. On Day 2, the Racers improved from their Day 1 troubles. Erin Winings tied the school record again with an 82. Melissa Finch finished the day with an 89. Christy Brinkman improved from her day 1 with a 90. Vanessa Herbert closed with a 97. Brittany Neeley remained consistant with a 132. For the event, the Racers were led by Erin Winings 172, good enough for 8th place overall. Melissa Finch finished in 10th place with a 175. Christy Brinkman and Vanessa Herbert finished in 27th and 29th with a 185 and 188. Brittany Neeley finished 44th overall with a 266. The Racers finished 4th out of 8 teams. The Lady Racers will be back in action on Saturday and Sunday, October 11th and 12th when they will play in "The Clash at the Clouse" in Springfield, OH. |
