The University of Northwestern Ohio Racers Women's Golf Team traveled to the Defiance College Invitational on Monday afternoon. The Racers shot a team total of 382 to finish in 3rd out of 4 teams at the event. Playing at Kettenring Golf Course, the Racers couldn't find enough green to chase down Ohio Northern, but downed Heidelberg in the event. Leading the way for the Racers was Melissa Finch and Christy Brinkman, who each fired a 91. Erin Winings was right behind them with a 92. Vanessa Herbert and Hollie Johnston each fired a 108 and 109. The Racers will be back in action on Saturday, September 27th when they will take part in the Capital Fall Invitational. |
