On Monday, the women's golf team participated in the Ohio Cup. Particapating schools were all from the state of Ohio. The Lady Racers finished the event in sixth place as they totaled 11 points. The Ohio Cup is a miniature Ryder Cup format with two players playing alternate shot for nine holes; two players playing a scramble for nine holes; and two players playing individual medal play for nine holes. One to six points are awarded based upon the players finish within the individual format. All six players played nine holes of individual match play with two points awarded for a win and one point for a tie. In the alternate shot format, Ashley Carmack and Rachael Cox fired a 63 to earn 1 point. Brittany Neeley and Hollie Johnston shot 56 in the scramble round to earn 1 point. In the two medal rounds, Vanessa Herbert shot 53 to earn 4 points and Erin Winings fired a 46 to earn 5 points. All players lost their match play scoring no points with both Vanessa Herbert and Erin Winings losing their matches on the last hole. Team scores: 1. Ohio Northern University - 31 1/2
