Final Stats

The Lady Racers of UNOH were pursuing their first home victory of the season when University of the Cumberlands visited the friendly confines of Racer Gymnasium. The Patriots are the first women's NAIA Division I members to come to the campus of UNOH. UC's inside presence was just too much for the Lady Racers as Cumberlands defeated UNOH 79-47.

The Lady Racers hung with the Patriots early in the contest and found themselves only down by 7 with 7 minutes left in the first half with the score being 20-13. UC then went on an 8-0 run to take the lead up to 15 with a 28-13 lead with 5 minutes left. The Lady Racers went into the half trailing 30-18.

UNOH opened the second half and hung with the Patriots for the first 6 minutes to open the half as they trailed 38-27. UC rattled off a 12-2 run to put the game out of reach with 10 minutes left in the game as UC led 50-29. The Racers would eventually fall behind by 32, but would hit some trey bombs to cut the lead to 24, before eventually falling by a final of 79-47.

Leading the way for the Lady Racers was Andrea Meyer, Meyer connected on 5 three pointers for all of her 15 points. Krissy Koester also reached double figures as she totaled 12 points and 6 rebounds. Kristi Platfoot grabbed 6 boards as well. UC's Crystal Taylor performed well for a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Racers fall to 2-9 on the season while the Patriots move to 9-4. UNOH will be back in action on Wednesday, January 2nd at 6:00 PM when they host Walsh University. In their first meeting, UNOH traveled to Walsh and defeated the Cavaliers 70-64.
