Final Stats

The UNOH Lady Racers traveled to Cedarville University on Satuday afternoon hoping to start a rivalry with the highly touted Yellow Jackets. Turnovers and poor shooting cost the Lady Racers their shot at upsetting Cedarville as the final came out at 83-58.

The Lady Racers came out in the first half firing, but couldn't connect from long range. UNOH shot 29% from the floor in the first half combined with 10% from the three in the half as well. The Lady Racers found themselves down by 23 at half.

UNOH improved their shooting in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome a strong shooting performance by the Yellow Jackets. The Racers turned the ball over 22 times compared to just 7 by Cedarville. This clearly caused problems all day for the Lady Racers.

Leading the way for the Racers was Krissy Koester who totaled 12 points and 6 rebounds. Stacy Feathers reached double figures with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Kristi Platfoot gathered the rebounds with 10.

The Yellow Jackets put four players in the double figures column, leading the way was Alison Lemon with 24 points. Lydia Miller scored 12 points. Aubrey Siemon and Kristine Rucker added 11 each. Emily Noble missed a double double with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

The Racers fall to 2-6 on the early season while the Yellow Jackets move to 5-4.

The Lady Racers will be back in action Saturday, December 15 against Mt. Vernon Nazerene University with a start time of 2:00 PM.
