The UNOH Lady Racers were back in action on Tuesday night as they faced the Falcons of Notre Dame College. The Lady Racers came out strong in the opening half, but failed to keep the turnovers at a minimum in the second half and fell to the Falcons 77-67. The first half has been a strong point for the Lady Racers all season as they controlled the first half with a strong performance by Abbie Clifton as she totaled 12 of her 20 in the first half. Both teams took moderate leads during the first half, as the game went to the break with the Lady Racers leading 32-30. The second half belonged to the Falcons as they outscored the Racers by 12 in the second half to reach the final score of 77-67. Leading the way for the UNOH Racers was Abbie Clifton as she totaled 20 points and 10 rebounds. Kelly Warris reached double figures with 10 points, and Alexa Kennedy came off the bench to provide 10 points and 7 rebounds. The Falcons provided the high scorer of the contest in Ashley Carney with 26 points, she also dished out 6 assists. Amanda Brown and Yvette Hunter contributed with 13 and 12 points. The Racers committed 24 turnovers compared to the Falcons 14. The Racers dominated the boards with 43 while the Falcons tallied 30. The loss drops the Lady Racers to 2-5 on the season, the win moves the Lady Falcons to 7-1. The Lady Racers will be back in action this Saturday, December 8th at Cedarville Unviersity with tipoff set for 2:00 PM. |
