The Lady Racers faced Indiana Tech for the first time ever on Monday night in Fort Wayne, IN. After a sluggish start by both teams, the Lady Racers pulled away in the 2nd half to give UNOH the victory 68-55. In the first half, both squads shot poorly from the field as the Lady Racers were 0 of 11 and the Warriors were 0 of 6 from behind the arc. The Racers and Warriors combined for a %26 shooting in the first half. The Racers trailed at the break 26-25. The second displayed the Lady Racers take off from a shooting perspective and eventually pull away from the Warriors. The Lady Racers shot %50 in the second half, to go along with making 15 of 17 free throws to seal the game. The Warriors couldn't find the shooting touch and could not find an answer for the post play of the Racers. Leading the way for the Racers was Krissy Koester as she totaled 19 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. Also reaching double figures was Abbie Clifton as she totaled 15 points. Stacy Feathers and Alexa Kennedy each had 9 points in the winning effort. Next up for the Lady Racers will be Midway College on Saturday, February 16th with tip off set for 2:00 PM in Midway, KY. The Lady Racers defeated Midway at home in the previous meeting 87-70. |
