The Lady Racers traveled to Notre Dame College on Wednesday evening trying to keep the winning momentum rolling as they have won two of their last three. The spotlight was on UNOH and the Lady Racers as the game was being broadcasted by Sports Time Ohio. Despite a record setting performance by Krissy Koester and her 36 points, the Lady Racers came up short 95-84.

In their previous meeting, UNOH fell short of the Falcons by a final of 77-67. In the first half, the Lady Racers got started off by Krissy Koester as she scored the Lady Racers first 6 points of the game. After three pointers by Erian Buckman and Alexa Kennedy, and a great post finish by Abbie Clifton, the Racers found themselves up 14-11 after the first media timeout.

The next eight minutes of the game was all Notre Dame as Abbie Clifton picked up two quick fouls and the Falcons when on a 20-7 run to secure a lead at 31-21 with 9:00 minutes left in the first half. At this point in the game, the Lady Racers surrendered 10 offensive rebounds to the Falcons.

In the coming minutes, Stacy Feathers scored 8 consecutive points, including two 3-pointers, but yet the Racers still trailed Notre Dame 44-35 with 3:00 minutes left in the half. The first half would come to a close with a score of 51-41.

The Lady Racers displayed good shooting percentages in the first half as they shot 55% from the floor and 55% from behind the arc and made all four free throws. Leading the way in the first half was Krissy Koester as she was 6-9 from the floor for 12 points. Stacy Feathers was 4-5 including 2-3 behind the arc for 10 points. The Lady Racers committed 12 turnovers in the opening half compared to only 3 for the Falcons.

The scoring affair would continue to rage in the opening minutes of the second half as the Falcons extended the lead to 15 with a score of 69-54 with 14:31 remaining in the game. The Racers would continue to claw their way back into the game as they used a 14-2 run to close within 3 points at 71-68 with 8:43 left to go in the game.

The Lady Racers could not find the winning momentum as they were outscored 24-16 to close out the game. UNOH came up short against the Falcons of Notre Dame with a final of 95-84.

On Saturday, Abbie Clifton set the school record for 29 points and 16 rebounds. On Wednesday evening against Notre Dame College, Krissy Koester established a new record as she totaled 36 points on 18-26 shooting. She also grabbed 7 rebounds in the effort. Stacy Feathers was the only other Lady Racer to reach double figures as she totaled 15 points and 9 rebounds.

The Falcons put three players in the book with more than 20 points as Molly Baker led the attack as she struck from deep and also created mismatches in the paint as she torched UNOH for 27 points. Jamie Henry and Yvette Hunter each totaled 22 points, and Hunter connected on 10-13 from the free throw line. Amanda Brown and Ashley Carney each reached double figures as they had 12 and 10 respectively.

The loss moves the Lady Racers to 4-15 on the season while the Falcons move to 15-3 on the season. The Lady Racers will be back in action on Wednesday, January 30th when they travel to Urbana University with the tip set for 7:00 PM.
