Final Stats

The Lady Racers of UNOH took the court Tuesday night trying to capture their second win a row at home against the Georgetown College Tigers. It was the first of two meetings this year between the two teams. Poor 2nd half shooting by the Lady Racers ruined their chance of the upset against the Tigers as Georgetown pulled away in the 2nd half by a final of 76-52.

The first half enticed the fans inside "The Garage" as the Lady Racers and the Tigers battled back and forth with each team having at least a 5 point lead at one time and there were 7 ties in the first half. The Lady Racers went down 7 with under a minute to go in the half, until Erian Buckman drained a bomb to cut the lead to 38-34 at the break.

The second half turned out not to be in UNOH's favor as the Lady Racers shot 23% from the field, and Georgetown made all 13 of their free throws to put away the Lady Racers early in the half. The Tigers used two 7-0 runs and finished on an 11-0 run to get to the final of 76-52.

Leading the way for the Racers was Abbie Clifton who totaled 19 points and 7 rebounds. Krissy Koester went to work also with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Erian Buckman came off the bench to provide 8 points.

For Georgetown, Ashley Bell scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Kim Ingle also scored 19 points. The Georgetown Tigers finished the game 21-22 from the free throw line.

The loss drops the Lady Racers to 3-14 while the #26 Georgetown Tigers move to 12-5.

The Lady Racers will be back in action this Saturday, January 19th when they host Midway College. Tip is set for 3:00 PM at "The Garage."
