The University of Northwestern Ohio Racers Men's Tennis Team traveled to Hilton Head Spring Break to continue their spring season. The Racers competed in 5 matches while in South Carolina, and returned home with a 4-1 record while in Hilton Head.

The Racers got the week started off with a win as they downed Colby College 7-2. The Racers then took on Sioux Falls and downed them 8-1. UNOH continued the win steak as they downed Hartwick 7-2. The Racers then suffered their first loss to St. Thomas as they fell 7-2. UNOH then finished the trip off with a 8-1 victory over Principia.

Leading the way for the Racers during the week was Sophomore Evan Carr as he finished undefeated at 5-0 in singles play during the week. Freshman Jeff Brown finished the week 4-1 in doubles play and 4-1 in singles to finish 8-2 overall. Sophomore Chris Cash finished 3-1 in doubles play and 4-1 in singles play to finish 7-2 overall. Sophomore Jason Sarno went 4-1 in doubles play and 3-2 in singles play, as he finished 7-3 overall. Sophomore Troy Schroeder finished 2-1 in doubles play and 3-1 in singles play to finish 5-2 overall. Sophomore Bryan Wright finished 4-1 in doubles play and 1-1 in singles play to finish 5-2 overall as well. Freshman Juan Cardenas finished 4-1 in doubles play and 1-3 in singles play to finish the week at 5-4. Sophomore Logan Wyse finished 1-1 in doubles play for the week, while Sophomore Taylor Frangie finished 0-1 in doubles play for the week.

The Racers now stand at 10-5 on the 2008-09 season. The Racers will be back in action on Friday, April 3rd. The match against Roberts Wesleyan will begin at 11:00 am.
